Back to 2016 Spring Conference Presentations
This multimedia production was developed for the STARTALK 2016 Spring Conference by Elizabeth Sandstrom, Nataliya Ushakova, and Kateryna Ratushnyuk.
What happens when students learning a new language connect with teachers in the collocated training program for that language? Step into our STARTALK classrooms to see how students and teachers inspire each other guided by the STARTALK principles. Three STARTALK colleagues from teacher training and student STARTALK programs share their program results of lessons learned throughout their five-year program history. Presenters in this session share strategies and techniques for engaging program participants in the target language with integrated culture and content, illustrating how age-appropriate, authentic materials can be adapted and used for this purpose.
