LinguaFolio is a formative assessment tool that builds self-evaluation skills and fosters reflective learning. Its “Can-do” checklists provide a way for learners to see what they can do with language and chart their progress on a continuum. When supported by frequent self-assessment activities in daily instruction, using LinguaFolio enables learners to accurately evaluate their language competencies and cultural interactions and motivates them to set short-term, achievable, learning goals.
